Field of application

The rugged Memosens CFS51 fluorescence sensor enables continuous, real-time monitoring of PAHs and oil contamination in marine, industrial, and environmental waters. Compliant with MEPC.259(68) and MEPC.340(77), it is designed for PAH monitoring in EGCS wash water, where a solid-state reference enables onboard calibration for reliable measurement. The sensor also supports oil-in-water monitoring in industrial water systems, helping ensure stable process operation and compliant discharge.

The Memosens CFS51 fluorescence sensor is used for continuous monitoring of PAHs and oil contamination in the following applications:

  • Monitoring of PAHs in marine EGCS wash water

  • Effluent pollution monitoring

  • Detection of oil contamination in cooling water systems

  • Early identification of oil leakage in steam condensate from heat exchangers

  • Oil monitoring at seawater intakes of desalination plants
