Challenges
The spring is in a wooded area with rough terrain and no electricity, making on-site manual readings necessary, but difficult. The water commission needed a way to measure the water flow and transmit that information independent of the public electricity network.
Solution
Endress+Hauser's proline Promag W 800 flowmeter uses two batteries to provide an off-grid, redundant power supply. The sensor records the flow value every 15 minutes and sends the data daily to the Netilion digital service via a secure LTE connection.
Netilion Value allows data analysis and transfers the information monthly to the process control system via CSV export. Netilion Health monitors the status of the device and alerts maintenance to any issues.
